The problem
A startup needed a trustworthy two-sided marketplace connecting local service providers with customers — which meant payments that hold funds until work is done, real-time coordination, and moderation, not just listings.
What I built
As lead engineer: an Expo React Native app, a Next.js API (~50 routes), and Supabase with row-level security, triggers, and 92 migrations. Payments run on Stripe Connect with a hold-then-payout escrow model and a platform fee; plus Google Maps radius search, real-time messaging, and a suspension/moderation system across three roles.
Outcome
A complete, launch-ready marketplace — 65 screens, escrow payments, and trust & safety built in from day one.
